Zumba Gold Chair Class

I'm Stacey a local fitness instructor & I've been teaching Zumba classes for the past 5 years in schools, community/leisure centres. Zumba is a Latin inspired dance fitness class that uses music from around the globe & incorporates rhythms such as Calypso, Belly Dance, Salsa & Flamenco. I currently teach 7 regular classes as week. Regular meaning suitable for ages 13+ & aerobic based for people wanting a workout.

I am also qualified to teach the ZUMBA GOLD program. This is a specialty class that is slower paced. Ideal for the active older adult. Zumba Gold also offers a chair based class that has been created specifically to be taught in the Care Home environment. The class allows for a chair/wheelchair focused class with a easy to follow 'watch me & copy' approach, designed to provide an appropriate workout for people with any scale of physical/psychological limitation & those with disabilities.  As we age our muscles may start to deteriorate, our muscle mass & flexibility becomes reduced which can lead to a massive loss of everyday movement. This program can help prevent further muscle mass loss & promote flexibility. It will help to increase muscle strength & bone density & may even help with blood pressure, cholesterol & metabolic rate. As well as that & most importantly it provides care home residents with a new activity. Something completely different, a class that can stimulate the senses, help reduce stress & engage them in physical activity..without them ever really knowing. We use music from around the world & participants can be taken back to dance eras such as. ChaChaCha, The Charleston & Swing,creating a party like atmosphere which could bring back personal memories & a feeling of nostalgia.
